Privacy
Short version: one form, one email address, one job.
What this site collects
This site has a single form, the email signup. If you use it, we store the email address you enter, the date and time you entered it, and a hashed (one-way, not reversible) record of your network address and browser type. That record exists so we can show you asked to hear from us. We don’t ask for your name and we don’t collect anything else.
What we use it for
To let you know when By the Band is ready to take the stage, and for occasional updates about the service after that. Nothing else. We don’t sell, rent, or share the list.
Confirming your address
After you sign up we send one email asking you to confirm it’s you. Until you click that link, your address isn’t on the list and gets no updates. The link stops working after seven days.
Leaving the list
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. One click and you’re off. You can also sign up again later if you change your mind.
Where it lives
The list is kept on By the Band’s own web server. Emails are delivered through Amazon Simple Email Service, and this website is served through Cloudflare, which handles the network traffic to it as part of providing that service.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets one short-lived session cookie, used only to protect the signup form from abuse. There are no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, and no third-party scripts.
